What Would I Give by Grodansnagel What Would I Give by Grodansnagel
TRAGIC TALES

So this is a remake of the first picture i ever drew with a tablet: :thumb197878687:

This is based on a deleted scene from The Little Mermaid, where the evil Queen throws Ariel at a rock and kills her (of I rememeber correctly), Triton, however, revives her. But in this picture there is no happy ending.

I'm a sucker for damsels and distress and tragic stories, I've been contemplating on making some more of these. Like Sleeping Beauty never waking up, and instead of Eugene dying, have Rapunzel die in the arms of Eugene (so macabre). hehe

Her neck is supposed to have an odd angle for quite upsetting reasons (its broken), but nonetheless I hope you like the picture. :)

I recall that in the original story she died by dissolving into sea foam.

Yeah, I tried I also deleted scenes, and initially Arie had to die and then be resurrected, but removed because it could cause some trauma to children. But I think that scene was better -

I'm surprised you didn't base the picture off the original ending; now that's what I call tragic.
