I'm Spanish...and... Yes! We aren't gypsies, please review it because it isn't very nice, and... Not every english people are stretched, and not every spanish girls dance flamenco. But is a good idea, fine, well done👌
First of all I haven't drawn a gyspy and using the term gypsy is politically incorrect and shouldn't be used. Second of all this is a spanish woman with tanned skin, dancing flamenco, she in no way represents all Spanish women. And thirdly, this is a commission i.e. I was paid to draw this after someone's request.
I know you're from Spain, and I also know what the outsider's view of Spain is, which you don't, since you're from Spain, and your use of the term gypsy is politically incorrect. And finally she's tan, which means she's white but with a tan.
Hi Javier, I kept thinking about your posts, and finally I went to one of my friends who used to work for the embassy and she explained to me that the best thing I can do is look up the current royal family and you are completely right! They look nothing like my character. I went to Spain three times before and everyone I saw there looked like what I pictured for this princess... but of course each time I went to Spain, I was spending all my time along the mediterranean coastline. So that has a lot to do with it. My friend suggested I put my character near Andalusia and she would make more sense there. I'm going to look into it some more. It also works out due to her journey across the Mediterranean sea throughout the story; she'd need to be on the coast to get to the sea! I appreciate you giving me the information I needed to better understand what I'm working on making. Thank you!
I looked up "girls from spain" on google and the first page of girls are all super tan brunettes some with blue eyes, though most with brown. And more to the point, Penelope Cruz is one of the most popular female Spanish actresses and she is also tan, with dark hair and eyes.
